Mr Ma, the Researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited our college

  • [2011-06-23]
  • Ma Xinwen, who is the assistant director of the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, made a wonderful lecture at the Western Activity Center, entitled "modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute-heavy ion physics and its interdisciplinary research base,"  at 7:00 in the evening of April 27.

At first, Mr Ma gave a brief introduction. As he said, the Institute of Modern Physics is the largest heavy-ion physics and cross-scientific research base in China. It is located at Lanzhou City of Gansu Province, and it has more than 740 career preparations, the total value of installation equipment is about 10 billion every years' research funding ranges 2 to 3 million. The research areas related to ADS and nuclear energy, nuclear physics, atomic physics, nuclear technology and accelerator physics. Relying on the advanced heavy ion accelerator device,The institute plays an important role in the international heavy-ion research center.

Then, Mr Ma described the current heavy-ion research at different levels of application and the world current states of heavy-ion research. After that ,he specifically described the basis of Modern Physics and applied research, such as in low energy heavy ion collisions, HIRFL study on nuclear physics experimental device, over weight nuclear synthesis, synthesis of new nuclides, nuclear accurate measurement of quality, and examples of several important experiments. Mr Ma introduced the long-term research and development direction of future planning and personnel requirements.

Finally, Mr Ma introduced the long-term research ,development direction of future planning and personnel requirements, and also answered all the students' questions, and the report was successfully concluded!
